Today I wanted to share a technique that radically changed how I paint minis.  Airbrushing has completely altered how I paint, what colors I use, and how I go about painting a model from start to finish, especially vehicles and walkers.

WIP: Grey Knights Stormraven- Stay On Target

I set myself a lofty goal of trying to finish the Stormraven two weeks ago.  That was a little shortsighted with the release of Destiny.  I spent enough time sprawled awkwardly on the couch with a controller in my hand that I pretty much destroyed my back (true story).  Still, I'm pretty happy with the progress I've made and have kicked my case of paint-job-disappointment.  Let's see where I've gotten.

One year ago this week, we started our blog. Let's take a moment to recap what we've accomplished.

FEATURE: New Painter

H.O.W. is proud to introduce another new painter into our family.  Born to Trip and his wife on Friday night!  He'll be taking over Saturday posts starting in 2022.  His painting style is a little sloppy at the moment due to his inability to see color or much beyond rough silhouettes, and the death grip he puts on his brush whenever it gets near him makes his lines a little squiggly. In time he'll serve The Emperor well and we look forward to his contributions.

SHOWCASE: Primarch of the XII Legion World Eaters - Angron Thal'kyr, the Red Angel

I had a rather lengthy tutorial planned on airbrushing a Blood Angels and Grey Knights Stormraven; however, the portable drive I had saved those images to were left at a friend's house this week and I haven't had a chance to grab it.

Since it looks like we have a wide range of different topics of posts, I thought I'd try to hone my Friday posts with a certain theme.  I primarily focus on the Horus Heresy setting for my hobbying; therefore, the majority of my posts will most likely encompass the Forge World models for that game setting.

FREEBIE: Grey Knights Decal Sheet

Since the Stormraven didn't come with any Grey Knights decals and this Tau player doesn't even have any spare Space Marine ones lying around, I decided to make my own.  Buy yourself some decal printer paper, and you can use em too!

WIP: Drones and Hatches complete

Thanks to last week's holiday, I was able to finish my Tau bits and custom hatches.

The day has finally arrived when H.O.W. adds a new artist! We're proud to introduce Darian who will be taking over Friday posts. Darian brings a great depth of experience, some variety in armies, and most importantly some fantastic models to the mix.  We're really excited to see all that he brings to the table.
